This session 2 introduces LGUs to Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, covering Earth Observation fundamentals and practical applications. Participants learn about Sentinel-2's MultiSpectral Instrument capturing data across 13 spectral bands at 10m, 20m, and 60m resolutions, and the differences between Level-1C (top-of-atmosphere) and Level-2A (atmospherically corrected) products. The session includes hands-on exercises where participants register for Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem, search and select imagery for Manila, download scenes, and load data into QGIS for visualization and analysis.
