The LGU training programme is a four-day course designed to build foundational to intermediate-level skills in GIS and Earth Observation. It combines theory and hands-on practice across topics such as Sentinel-2 image interpretation, spectral index generation, land cover classification, flood extent mapping, landslide detection, site suitability mapping, and agricultural monitoring. The course is delivered across twelve locations throughout the Philippines, from Baguio to Manila, and is tailored to support LGU decision-making in disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and land-use planning.
