Project SARAI (Smarter Approaches to Reinvigorate Agriculture as an Industry in the Philippines) is a DOST-funded, PCAARRD-monitored action-research program that helps farmers reduce climate risks through site-specific crop advisories for nine priority crops. Now operating as a Centralized National Hub at UPLB networked with all 16 DOST Regional Offices, it deploys tools such as Automatic Weather Stations, the WAISS irrigation advisory, the SPIdTech pest-identification app, and CL-SEAMS, which combines remote sensing, GIS, and NDVI for near real-time crop monitoring — as showcased at the Central Visayas site in Brgy.
